For Guitar Fundamentals and Classical Guitar we use The Royal Conservatory of Music as well as the Suzuki method which is developmentally appropriate, positive and encouraging for students of all ages (6 to adult.) In addition to learning music and guitar, our students also prepare for solo and ensemble performances.
In Suzuki Method for Guitar, the first goal is the development of a solid and natural technique, and the ability to play by ear. Once this foundation is laid, note reading and music theory are developed accordingly. This is all done through a positive, encouraging and nurturing environment. Group classes and recitals enhance the weekly private lessons, encouraging social interaction and performance skills.
The Suzuki Method for Guitar is now being taught all over the world to thousands of children and adults and is widely recognized as a highly successful method for teaching very young children to play music.
Our Guitar students have the option of The Royal Conservatory program of music assessment program. The Royal Conservatory program of music assessment is considered the preeminent music education system in many countries around the world.
