Song in My Heart Studio... Piano, Guitar, Flute, Harp, PINK, Early Childhood and Adult Music Programs

“Enriching hearts, one song at a time”

Learning guitar at Song In My Heart Studio is enjoyable and satisfying for students of all ages.

Students have the opportunity to study Guitar Fundamentals and Classical Guitar with Suzuki method, Flamenco Guitar and all genres of Electric Guitar including modern guitar applications.

For Guitar Fundamentals and Classical Guitar we use the Suzuki method which is developmentally appropriate, positive and encouraging for students of all ages (5 to adult.)  In addition to learning music and guitar, our students also prepare for solo and ensemble performances.

In March 2009 our students performed in the magnificent Granada Theater in Santa Barbara by invitation from the Santa Barbara Symphony Orchestra.

"Under the leadership of Vahid Imani, the talented guitar students of Song In My Heart Studio brought a very special element to the Santa Barbara Symphony's 2nd International Guitar Festival's Family Concert.  Their musicality, preparedness and enthusiasm captured our hearts and reminded us of the importance and goodness music education brings to all,"said Miwa Gofuku, the Director of Operations& Artistic Planning for the Santa Barbara Symphony.

Solo and group performances are a regular part of  music studies with Song In My Heart Studio. The guitar students will learn how to play guitar in a positive, encouraging and nurturing environment.  The studio is accepting students from ages 4 to adult. Beginners will learn the fundamentals of guitar along with ear training, music theory and performance skills.  More advanced students will learn classical guitar repertoire.  Private lessons are enhanced by monthly group activities.

In Suzuki Method for Guitar, the first goal is the development of a solid and natural technique, and the ability to play by ear.  Once this foundation is laid, note reading and music theory are developed accordingly.  This is all done through a positive, encouraging and nurturing environment.  Group classes and recitals enhance the weekly private lessons, encouraging social interaction and performance skills.

To see sample of students playing guitar please go to Longay Conservatory of Guitar’s website www.longay.com and select student performances.

The Suzuki Method for Guitar is now being taught all over the world, to thousands of children and adults and is widely recognized as a highly successful method for teaching very young children to play music.

Our Suzuki Guitar instructor (Vahid Imani) is a registered member of Suzuki Association of the Americas(SAA) and has completed multiple training credits with SAA.
